Celestron X-Cel LX 2x Barlow (1,25") Barlow er fellesbetegnelsen på okular som enten dobler eller tredobler styrken på et standard astro-okular. Eksempel: Et 10 mm okular på et teleskop med 1000 mm brennvidde vil gi 100x forstørrelse. Kombinerer du 10 mm-okularet med en 2x Barlow, vil du oppnå 200x forstørrelse. Fordelen med en Barlow fremfor å eksempelvis kjøpe et kraftigere standardokular, er det at barlowlinsen ivaretar øyeavstanden (eng.: eye relief), altså avstanden mellom øyet og okularet, på okularet som du har valgt å kombinere det med. Dette er positivt ettersom relativt svake standardokular som regel har lengre øyeavstand enn kraftigere standardokular. Med en barlow kan du således opprettholde lang og komfortabel avstand mellom øye og okular samtidig som du oppnår samme styrke/rekkevidde som på et kraftig standardokular med lav brennvidde.  På reflektorer plasseres Barlow-linsa mellom fokuser og okular. På refraktorer og Cassegrain-modeller plasseres Barlow-linsa vanligvis mellom prisme/diagonal og okular. På noen teleskop kan Barlow-linsa plasseres mellom fokuseren og diagonalen (i stedet for mellom diagonalen og okularet) og vil da gi hele 3x økning av teleskopets forstørrelse.

The new Sky-Watcher 90° Polar Scope Eyepiece now makes polar aligning your mount so much easier! The eyepiece sleeve securely clamps over the standard polar scope eyepiece using three non-marring, plastic-tipped, knurled metal thumbscrews. This is far superior method of clamping compared to similar looking products on the market that use only one clamping screw and more reliable than those using a brass compression ring, which can be problematic. The internal diameter of the eyepiece clamping sleeve is 30.1mm. For optimum positioning, the eyepiece can rotate 360º around its axis in click-stops. The eyepiece can be switched between 1x and 2x magnifications. For viewing comfort, the eyepiece is fitted with a soft fold-down rubber eyecup.
